The top Octavia's festival debut follows its official unveiling last month.
Diesel and petrol options will again be available with the RS, with the 2.0 litre four-cylinder diesel engine offering 135kW and a 0-100km/h time of 8.1 seconds.
The more performance-oriented petrol model comes with a 2.0 litre four-cylinder turbocharged engine producing 162kW; the same unit that powers the Volkswagen Golf GTI.
A six-speed transmission is available in both manual and DSG auto, with the manual being standard fitment and the auto being optional.
Progressive steering, sports suspension, an “XDS” electronic differential lock, larger alloy wheels and a sports body kit all help the Octavia RS to stand out from the regular Octavia.
“Here’s a car that is not stingy with superlatives; it's the fastest, most economical, largest, roomiest, safest, smartest and most comfortable Octavia RS that has ever been produced,” Skoda’s Frank Welsch said.
“The new Octavia RS marries power, technology and utility, and it is a perfect car for everyday use and recreation.”
