The newest creations signed by ABT Sportsline, the AS3, has been already previewed earlier this year, but now the German tuner is highlighting it once again, this time by releasing new details on it. According to the guys at ABT Sportsline, the AS3 is coming with a revised front grille, a new front spoiler, new aerodynamic side skirts, a rear diffuser, a tailgate mounted spoiler and a sports exhaust system, along with a choice of 18- or 19-inch alloy wheels.
“If there is one car that defines the premium standard in the compact car segment, it certainly is the Audi A3. And if it comes to sportiness and dynamism, the benchmark is the ABT AS3. For the new series of this successful model, the engineers of the globally largest tuner of cars produced by the Volkswagen Group have been most successful: The engines are very torquey and powerful indeed”, as the tuner is saying in its official press release.
The Audi S3 in question, or the AS3 as it was named by ABT Sportsline, is coming with the 1.4 liter TFSI engine under its hood, which can produce a total output of 170 HP (125 kW), and with the 2.0 liter, which can put down 280 HP (206 kW). The 2.0 liter TDI hasn’t been left aside either by the tuner and this is now coming with 180 HP (132 kW) or with 210 HP (154 kW). More details on the AS3 by ABT will be announced soon.
